Glovico offers real-time language courses with native teachers. The only difference compared to a "real" classroom is that you and your teacher won't be at the same place: you might be sitting on your couch at home while your teacher will be working from his office in Guatemala or Senegal. Different from group courses your teacher's attention will be focussed only on you - allowing you to reach much better learning results. You will be able to see your teacher via webcam and communicate with him via a headset. Our Spanish teachers mostly work in language schools in Latin America and therefore bring along extensive teaching experience. The French teachers are enthusiastic individuals with highly developed communication skills. We are currently setting up teacher trainings to give them the final touch in didactics.

The teachers are individually setting their prices. Therefore you can choose your teacher both by price or by other students' ratings. After having had a lesson you will receive an email asking you to rate your lesson in order to share your experience with other students. For their lessons the teachers draw upon their own teaching material or give you structured conversation classes. Please consider during the lessons the special demands of intercultural communication and meet the teacher with due respect (you might in that context have a look at our code of conduct).

Glovico is a Social Business, i.e. our main mission is to offer entrepreneurs from developing countries the opportunity to earn additional income through teaching their mother tongues. At the same time we promote intercultural dialogue. Nonetheless, it is important for us to remain independent from governmental money and to finance ourselves.
